Cyndi Teegarden from Living in Lenawee Realty explains asking for closing costs in your offer. Good or Bad?
In the current real estate market your offer needs to stand out. Here’s another tip to make your offer as “clean” as possible. Don’t ask the seller to pay part of closing costs unless it’s absolutely necessary. It’s easy to think “The bottom line is the same, so what’s the difference?” The seller may view your offer not as strong as one that can pay their own closing costs. You don’t want to chance that asking for closing costs when you really don’t need to, could cost you the home.
Hiring the professional Agent that represents you in this hot market should be your first step.
