If you remember, my passion is Fitness & Fuzzy Things because you know how I love Cows, and dogs and horses and pigs and everything! But today I want to talk to you about fitness. So I'm going to need your help here. Of course, we've talked about the Peloton, we've talked about the YMCA, we visited a personal trainer, but I need some help. I've got a new goal. I know, hard to believe that I looked at my 2022 goals and one of them is to run a half marathon. I'm not going to tell you that this is my first attempt, because my first attempt I finished, but not on my terms. And when I say that, I got injured about halfway through it, I finished the race mostly walking, not on the time that I had planned and I keep saying every year, I'm going to find that passion for running that my friend Bill Kenyon and Branna Kahle have, and I search for it, and I search for it, and I search for it and I just cant find it. So my 2022 goal is to run a half marathon. I think I'm going to do the half marathon at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon I believe it's on January 16th, somewhere's in there. So I got 11 weeks to train approximately. I went to my friends at running with E's, got my foot measured, they watched me walk, they recognized that I kind of turn my feet out and walk in. She talked about some of the things that I need to do with my shoes, and she put me in a new pair of running shoes. I made my first attempt on Tuesday, and I ran 2.6 miles. Not good, not pretty, not fast, but finished. I'm looking for your information or your insight on what you think the best training program is. If you got 10-11 weeks to train for a half marathon. I'm kind of in shape, but not in running shape. So if you've got advice on what to do to prepare for a half marathon at the beginning of January, I'd love to hear. You can message me through our Facebook page or personally, please leave your comments, because I'm sure there's people that have a goal of someday running a half marathon. Again, it's a half marathon goal. We'll see how I look in the next 4 weeks, I'm hoping it's a half marathon and not a 10K, but it's definitely not going to be a marathon because I just don't understand that. I appreciate my friends who do that, but I just don't understand. So what's the best half marathon program that you've ever done, that you recommend that I look into. Is it a book? Is it online? Have you tried the Peloton or the training to the 26.2 mile run. I'm looking for your questions. Again, this is Janis Montalvo with Living In Lenawee Realty with my passion, Fitness & Fuzzy things. Now, help me get running.
